Mid Century Modern Split Level Refreshed! Our Gau Haus renovation project is complete-let me show you around. Since last time the counters have been put in-Quartzite Taj Mahal. The kitchen island is 2 inches taller to accommodate family needs. We have a stylish vent hood, induction cooktop and single wall oven, with breakfast seating on either side. The custom maple cabinets made locally by Pegasus One, were stained a medium green on the lower. The uppers are a greyish white (Alabaster) from Sherwin Williams.
On the backsplash we designed a teal deep green herringbone pattern of ceramic tile. The 60/40 divided farmhouse Kohler sink has been the best decision! We were wondering what all the fuss is about with these popular sinks, especially marrying farmhouse with a modern, chic renovation. What I love is the accessibility for washing pans and cookie sheets. The disposal is in the right side so there is room to stack a few pot lids for drying on the left. The grates on the bottom protect the finish. Our Delta faucet was chosen in oil-rubbed bronze to match the cabinetry hardware. It has a pull-down sprayer with 3 spray settings.
We opted to have a single oven with a microwave that has convection features for the times we need more oven capabilities. Our Samsung Bespoke fridge has changeable color panels. I am obsessed with refillable water pitcher that can diffuse fresh fruit, using 2 sizes of ice for optimal cold, flavored water. Hooray! We are pleased with how the project has come together.
